Room 3's Shared learning:
Every day our Room 3 children are taking home a reader in their book bags. These are to be read with you and discussed. Please record your child's efforts in reading in their reading log.
Think about what prompt questions you can ask your child to support their comprehension such as:
-What was your favorite part?
- What did this story make you think of?
- What might happen next?
- What do you might happen next if......
Essential Word Lists
Very soon each child will be taking home the Essential Word list for spelling practice. These words make up the majority of the children's writing and therefore important for each child to master. They will need to work through the words they do not know, targeting five to six a week.
Mathematics program:
We will be running an online mathematics program in Room 3 this year called Maths Wizz. This is a year long program that specifically targets the knowledge gaps of our students, and has access 24hrs a day.
